Events for Families

We are excited to announce the ICFF 2017 Spring Connections at the Museum is open for registration!     The event will be on April 9th, 2017, 9am-1pm at The Children’s Discovery Museum in Normal, Illinois. After lunch, when the ICFF progrmaming is over, we encourage you stay and enjoy the museum with your family until closing at 5pm.
This event is designed for all ages and relationships. Come share memories of your loved one and make new ones with other families. Workshops will focus on communication, life after loss, and using the movie “Inside Out” to talk about emotions.
We hope that you will enjoy the day as much as we enjoy planning the day for you!

Our daylong Connections Events are open to all family and friends of fallen Illinois Service Members. The events feature group workshops, creative arts, a time for connecting with other families and learning about local resources.

Groups and workshops give families a place to discuss the wide range of emotions they experience and how they have dealt with the loss of a loved one. Arts workshops for adults and children help them channel their emotions through creativity. The activities are carefully chosen to aid in the process of finding a new normal.

The daylong events are held in the spring and fall, typically in stimulating and family-friendly settings such as Brookfield Zoo and the Childrens Discovery Museum in Normal.
